The Manchester independent music scene (and specifically the Manchester punk rock scene) has been my life and community and it has taught me so much about the importance of like-minded people looking out for each other.
No one should ever lose their life, be injured or be scared at a music event and we will always hurt at what happened and our thoughts will remain with those affected.
But the way in which Manchester worked together in the aftermath of the event embodied everything that is important about those community values we see in our music scenes and showed that in Manchester these values truly extend to our whole community, which was incredibly heart warming to witness.
