Seeing the swell of support and unity from Mancunians following the horrific attacks was so inspiring, and though I’ve only ever lived there quite briefly, I’m proud to call it a second home. Manchester has undoubtedly the healthiest and most tight-knit music community in the country, if not the world, and though this compilation can only go so far in taking away the pain of those involved in the tragedy, I can’t think of a better way to unite in support of its victims. Music brings people together and has the power to change minds – it’s times like this that it’s critical we use it as a positive force, and I have maximum respect to Jonny, Jamie and all the crew for stepping up and making this happen!
